Then this course is for you!
The course includes asanas (physical postures) that promote and facilitate the breathing process and pranayama (breathing exercises) that induce relaxation, mental clarity, and balance. The class ends with the deep relaxation Yoga Nidra and meditation based on the breath awareness. Theory about the anatomy and physiology of respiratory system is also included in the course.
The teachers on this course are Julie Yudina and Anna McPherson. Julie is a yoga teacher, as well as a scientist in Biology and Pharmacology. She has taught courses in respiration for medical students at Lund University and is now running Satyayoga.se in Lund.
Anna has been working full time with yoga and meditation since 2003. She has a deep and broad education within the Satyayanda yoga tradition and she is also an Ayurvedic health advisor. Anna conducts retreats in Sweden, Spain, and India: yoga-retreat.se.
