The practice of awareness.
Awareness is an essential part of yoga. It is the key to going deeper in our understanding.
To be completely lost, enmeshed and identified with actions, emotions and thoughts is to be unaware.
The practice of awareness encourages us to stand back and observe what is. By doing so we cultivate an attitude of being rather then doing. It means being alert to whatever is going on both internally (thoughts, sensations, emotions) and externally (work, play, movement, words).
