Yoga Nidra is a method of complete mental, physical and emotional relaxation. It is a state of relaxed awareness on the borderline between sleep and wakefulness, allowing contact with the subconscious and unconscious minds, while remaining awake and aware. It is the natural way to establish the harmony and well-being.
It may be practised any time you feel tired, tense or sick and it will refresh both body and mind. It is also ideally practised before bed in order to cut the repetitive chatter of the day’s thoughts and worries and ensure a restful, healing sleep.
This practice is also an ideal preparation for meditation.
